One hundred soldiers from First Scout Ranger Regiment, Socom, PA of Camp Tecson, San Miguel, Bulacan received scholarship grants from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). The awarding took place at the First Scout Ranger Regiment Covered Court last May 30, 2015 in partnership with AMG Skilled Hands Technological College. Sec. Emmanuel Joel Villanueva, TESDA’s Director General, Guest Speaker inspired and motivated the scouts to pursue additional skills for better opportunities. Col. Arnulfo R. Pajarillo, (FA) Deputy Commander, and BGen Eduardo B. Davalan (AFP) were also present during the awarding ceremony.
The scholarship is in recognition of their gallantry in battle in spite of the great risk to their lives. The grant enabled the soldiers to take the following short courses: 50 welders, 25 Visual Graphics and Design (VGD) and Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM). The training is being held at ASHTEC Campus supervised by its competent instructors.
